42nd Annual Sports Day

Shrimati Indira Gandhi College celebrated its 42nd Annual Sports Day on 22 August 2026 with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Arjuna Awardee Mr. Wilson Cherian and Padma Shri & Arjuna Awardee Mrs. Shiny Wilson, whose inspiring journeys motivated students to pursue excellence in both academics and sports.

The celebrations featured a ceremonial march past, torch lighting, oath-taking, mass drills, Silambam, Taekwondo and yoga performances. The event concluded with the distribution of medals and trophies. The Department of Computer Science won the Overall Championship, while the Department of Fashion Technology received the Best March Past Trophy.
