The Alumni Association of Shrimati Indira Gandhi College (SIGCAA) organized a "Free ENT Health Camp". Dr. T. N. Janakiram, a world-renowned Skull Base Surgeon, Rhinologist & ENT Surgeon from Royal Pearl Hospital, Trichy, served as the Resource Person. Ms. K. Chitra Devi, Joint Secretary of the Alumni Association, extended a warm welcome and introduced the Chief Guest. The camp aimed to provide accessible healthcare services, focusing on Ear, Nose, and Throat for all faculties, non-teaching staff, and students at no cost. The event's success was attributed to a well-organized registration process, efficient patient screening & the expertise of ENT specialists who offered comprehensive consultations. A total of 405 individuals benefited from this health initiative.

The Alumni Association of SIGC organized the "Navarathri Celebration and Cultural Events" on 18.10.2023. The proud alumna, Smt. S. Aparna M.B.A, M.Phil, Director of Shrimati Indira Gandhi College, graced the occasion. Dr. P. Gajalakshmi, the Principal, was also present.

Dr. S. Regha, the President, welcomed the gathering. The alumni association and a prominent alumna Ms. Al. Alamelu donated two wheelchairs to the college, which were presented to the college by Smt. S. Aparna, the Director, on behalf of the alumni association, and received by the Principal.

The Navarathri celebration featured pooja and hymns in praise of the Goddesses. The Director in her address, was filled with nostalgia as she fondly reminisced about her Navaratri celebrations during her college days and the years she spent in the US. She emphasized the importance of setting ambitious goals and shared her own methods for achieving them, highlighting the significance of aiming higher and working diligently towards it.

Adding liveliness to the event, alumnae Ms. R. Harini (CS), Keerthana Balaji (FT), and S. Shrutikaa (B.Com) showcased their talents in cultural events and were honored by the Director. The significance of the 4th day of the Navarathri celebration brought the event to a positive and meaningful conclusion, leaving a lasting impact on all participants.

Dr. S. Gayathiri, Principal of Bon Secours College for Women at Thanjavur and Dr. L. Kalai Bharathi, Principal of Swami Vivekananda Arts & Science College, Vallam, Thanjavur graced our institution on 10.06.2023, as a distinguished alumnae, adding to the rich tapestry of talent that adorns our legacy. The alumni students first met the current Principal, Dr. P. Gajalakshmi, and shared their cherishing memories. They captured the moment with a photo in front of the iconic Gandhi tree, a symbol of our college's pride.

Dr. S. Regha., President and Ms. R. Indra, Secratary, Alumni Association discussed the association's mission, and the alumnae displayed a strong desire to join the association through the provided website link. During their nostalgic campus tour, they revisited the familiar blocks, hostels, and cafeteria, each place evoking fond memories. Their excitement peaked as they explored the blocks. The state-of-the-art IFB Panel Classrooms and the college's impressive infrastructure left them spellbound. In recognition of their esteemed presence, our Alumni Team extended heartfelt honors to all of them.

ALUMINI SPOTLIGHT SERIES PROGRAM ON PERSONAL ETHICS

Shrimati Indira Gandhi Alumini Association and Department of English of Shrimati Indira Gandhi College organized an alumini spotlight series program on 'Personal Ethics' on 08.08.2023 at MCA Hall for the students of B.A.English. Dr K. Meena, Secretary, Shrimati Indira Gandhi College presided over the program. Shri. K. Chandrasekharan, M.S.,Chief Executive Officer, Smt. S. Aparna M.B.A., M.Phil., Director and Dr P. Gajalakshmi, Principal of Shrimati Indira Gandhi College graced the occasion with their presence. Dr. S. Regha, Association president of Shrimati Indira Gandhi college were also present. Ms. S. Vidhyalakshimi, Ph.D., research scholar of English was the resource person. Ms. S. D. Ezhilarasi, III B.A. English welcomed the gathering. The Resource person started the session with an explanation of personal ethics, professional ethics and its differentiation. She accentuated on respecting an individual both in personal and professional ways irrespective of their color, caste and creed. She then, brought out the 'wrong doing' and 'right doing' in the workplace, and how to handle it in a professional way. She concluded her speech by sharing her personal experiences as an alumini and her research experience. The speaker answered the questions in detail during the Q&A session. She then thanked the management and her professors for moulding her to what she is today. The program came to an end with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. R. Dharshini II B.A. English. Students of B.A. English had participated in the program and got highly inspired by their senior.

The Alumni students of Computer Science belonging to the Batch 2002-2005 of Shrimati Indira Gandhi college visited the college campus on 08.07. 2023. The Alumni students first met the Principal, Dr P. Gajalakshmi & shared their memories. They took photo in front of the pride of college, The Gandhi tree. Then, the Alumni Association team discussed about the association mission. The alumnae showed great interest to join the association group through the website link. During their campus tour they felt nostalgic of the blocks, hostel and cafeteria. They were overwhelmed to see the J& D block where they were ellaborated about the Chennai chapters. They felt excited about the IFB Panel Class rooms and Infrastructure of the college & were spell bound. All of them were honoured by our Alumni Team.

The Alumni students of Commerce Batch 1994-1997 Shrimati Indira Gandhi college visited our campus on 3rd July 2023 Our college Alumni Association team took them to MBA Hall and discussed about the Association Mission amd asked them to join in Whatsapp group through our website link and also ellaborated about the chennai chapters. The Alumni students visited our college campus and Hostel.They felt spell bound about the IFB Panel Class room and Infrastructure All the Alumni students were honored by our Alumni Team
