Freshers’ Day 2026–2027: A Warm Welcome to New Beginnings

Shrimati Indira Gandhi College warmly welcomed the freshers of the 2026–2027 batch on 29 June 2026 with a vibrant and memorable Freshers’ Day celebration. The programme commenced with a cordial reception, where the newcomers were greeted with sweets, ceremonial crowns, and a beautifully organized mehndi session by the senior students, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere.

The celebration continued with interactive games and creative activities that encouraged friendship, participation, and team spirit among the freshers. Addressing the gathering, Dr. P. Gajalakshmi, Principal, highlighted the institution’s rich legacy, academic excellence, and the numerous opportunities available for students’ holistic development, inspiring the newcomers as they embarked on their academic journey.
