Freshers' Day & Association Installation Ceremony

Shrimati Indira Gandhi College celebrated Freshers' Day and the Installation Ceremony of the College Association Office Bearers on 09.07.2026 with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Chief Guest Ms. Anitha Sampath, renowned news reader and actress, in the presence of Director Smt. S. Aparna and Principal Dr. P. Gajalakshmi. The Director welcomed the freshers by highlighting the college's rich legacy and encouraged students to embrace learning, innovation, and personal growth under the guidance of dedicated faculty members.

The Chief Guest inspired the students by sharing her life experiences and emphasizing women's empowerment, the value of education, family support, meaningful friendships, and the responsible use of technology. The ceremony also featured the installation and oath-taking of the newly elected student office bearers, followed by the distribution of prizes to Freshers' Day competition winners, making the event a memorable beginning to the academic year.
