Mr. Sabari Anand, Project Coordinator of Bajaj Finserv , delivers an innovative discussion on BFSI. The program will take place on December 27, 2024, at Vidya Seva Ratnam K Santhanam Auditorium. Shrimati Indira Gandhi College successfully organized a Domain Skill Development training program in collaboration with Yardstick Academy, beginning on September 9th, 2024. The program was initiated by Dr. Murali Shankar, Founder & CEO of Yardstick Academy. It was designed for pre- final and final-year UG/PG students across various departments, including B.Com, BBM, B.Com CA, Maths, Physics, and MCA.

Participants engaged with a range of critical topics, such as Power BI, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Analytics, and Cloud – SQL Development, Python for ML hands on. These sessions were led by a team of skilled experts: Mr. Sathish, Mr. Santhosh Kumar, Mr. Yuvaraj, Mrs. VijayaShanthi, Ms. Priya, Ms. Sowmiya, Mr. Vijayakumar, and Mr. Dinesh Kumar from Yardstick Academy.

This course, aimed at first-year all IT majors & BBA , had a thorough curriculum covering theoretical and practical aspects. These sessions were conducted by expert trainers - Mr. Ramesh N, Mr. Dhiraj Kumar, Mrs. Swarna, Ms. Aswini, Mr. Gokulawasan, and Mr. Paul from Inlustro. The main subjects discussed included an overview of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), Networking and Fundamental Professional Skills. The participants obtained valuable knowledge and hands-on practice, greatly improving their skills for future academic and career pursuits.Approximately 338 students participated in the session and benefited from it.

The Experts from Learn to Upgrade Mr. Baburao Vikram, Mrs. Razia, and Mrs. Vinitha B delivered a session on Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilalnce respectively on 04.09.2024 & 09.09.2024 at the J & D Classrooms. The training for Clinical research was spanned for 3 days and the the course Pharmacovigilance was spanned for 2 days for the Life Science Department Students. The Pre-Final Year UG/PG students from the departments of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Microbiology participated in the program, with over 150 students benefiting from the training.

The initial session began on 08.07.2024 and lasted for 5 days, followed by the subsequent session starting on 15.07.2024 which also lasted 5 days. The pre-final year students from different departments participated in the Training Program. 392 students participated in the certification program, which predominantly covered topics such as Financial Modeling, Project Handling, Investment Banking, Generative AI, Business Analytics, Agile & Scrum Project Management, and Video Editing for Film Making. TVSTS - ICICI Bank Placement drive held on 12.05.2023 at our campus for the role of Relationship Manager for all UG & PG for the various departments such as Commerce, Microbiology, Computer Science and BBA. The drive initiated with a pre-placement talk by Mr. Vignesh – Executive Sourcing accompanied by one more recruiter Mr.Anandhan.

The mode of interview was an online assessment test (30 minutes) held on the same day of interview. A total number 38 students participated in the drive and attended the test followed by a descriptive test and Personal interview. Finally out of 38 students, 34 students got selected for the salary package of 2.89 LPA and the certificate verification & training process will be carried forward after their University examination with the minimum of 50% aggregated marks in their exams.

SHRIMATI INDIRA GANDHI COLLEGE in association with Elite Labs, conducted an Internship Program on Practical (technical/QC) knowledge for I M.sc Biochemistry students. The Internship program was conducted for 7 days off campus for 14 credit hours at Elite Labs, Woriyur.

13 students attended the Internship program and got an opportunity to handle Biochemical instruments such as Phagia 250, Vitrous 5900, Lia washer, Techniques such as Tuberculosis test, ABO blood grouping, gram staining, BP check, Sample collection. The students got value additional knowledge regarding Histopathology, Molecular techniques. Our students are certified on completion of the course.
