Duration and Course Content
The full-time MBA programme is for two years (Four semesters). A semester consists of a minimum of ninety teaching days or 450 contact hours. Six papers are covered in each semester. The first two semesters are devoted for functional areas. In the third and fourth semesters electives are offered. A wide range of electives under each functional area is offered to the students. However, the offer of electives will be dedicated by the faculty committee, keeping in view the demand and the employment opportunities. More focus is on electives in the systems area considering the employment potency for women.

Approach
We follow a dynamic approach in teaching the course. Lectures are supplemented with case study analysis, workshops, seminars, learning exercises, management games, personality development programmes, mini projects in functional areas, industry visits and a summer project.
Summer project
At the end of the second semester students are required to undergo an in-plant training programme in any reputed organisation for six to eight weeks. The project work will be coordinated by a faculty guide and a co-guide (preferably) from the respective organisation. A report has to be submitted to the University for evaluation.
Placement
The placement cell headed by a faculty assists students in planning their career and in training them to get jobs after successful completion of the course. Many of our alumni are well placed in Indian and abroad.
Course fee
The course fee payable by the candidate is Rs 50,000 per annum. The amount should be paid by a demand draft favouring SIGC-MBA account. Those who opt for Audit Courses and or the Special Computer Courses should pay the prescribed additional fee.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
Admission will be based on an entrance test (objective type questions on GMAT pattern) to be held on a notified date. Short listed candidates will be called for group discussion and personal interview. The finally selected candidates will be informed individually. The selection list will also be put in the notice board.
POINTS TO REMEMBER

The application form should be filled correctly, duly affixing the photos at the appropriate places.
Incomplete and ineligible applications will be summarily rejected and no refund will be made.

Do not send the original mark-sheets or certificates along with the application form
They should be produced only at the time of admission.
