The Book Bank Scheme is a unique student support service of the college because it is an academically oriented scheme. The objective of the scheme is to help financially weak students. This project was inaugurated by Dr. C.Thangamuthu, Vice Chancellor, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli who popularized the idea of the scheme and stressed the need for a book. Bank in all the colleges. Inaugurating the scheme for UG students on 20th July 2004 he handed over around 300 books worth Rs.50, 000/- to the library on behalf of the management.

The financially poor students (numbering 120) were selected from all disciplines of UG studies and the books were distributed to them for use during the semester and to be returned safely to the library after the semester examination.

The Book Bank Scheme also fetched support to 2 students in the Earn-While-Learn Scheme. These students played a key role in carrying the message of the scheme to al the students of the college. They are instrumental in monitoring the issue and returning the books from and to the library for financial assistance rendered to them by our Principal to add more books to the scheme in the years to come and more number of students will be benefited.
